Privacy Policy

MEDEV Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Weight Tracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Weight Tracker is designed with a privacy-first architecture — the App functions entirely on your device with no server-side component, no user accounts, and no cloud synchronization.

Weight Tracker does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
• Health or biometric data to external servers
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data
• Cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party tracking mechanisms

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using an on-device SQLite database:

• Weight & Body Composition — Your logged weight values, body fat percentage, muscle mass (lean body mass), and body water percentage.
• Body Measurements — Circumferences of your waist, hips, chest, bicep, thigh, and neck.
• Goals — Your target weight, target date, start weight, and goal completion status.
• Daily Steps & Workouts — Your daily step counts and exercise session details (duration, type of activity, active calories burned) synced from Health Connect.
• Profile Settings — Your age, gender, height, preferred language, weight unit (kg/lbs), decimal precision, daily reminder preferences, and Health Connect synchronization settings.

This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud service, and it is not accessible to MEDEV Studios or any third party. You can export your data as a CSV/JSON file or delete the app to remove all stored data.

Weight Tracker requests the following device permissions:

• Notifications — Used solely to deliver the optional daily weight logging reminder that you configure. No data is sent externally.
• Exact Alarm — Used to schedule the daily reminder at your preferred time. No data is transmitted.
• Boot Completed — Used to reschedule your daily reminder after a device restart. No data is collected or sent.
• Health Connect Permissions — If you choose to enable the Google Health Connect integration, the app will request read and/or write permissions for Weight, Body Fat, Lean Body Mass, Body Water Mass, Steps, Exercise Sessions, and Active Calories Burned. This permission allows the app to perform bi-directional local sync of your weight, body composition, steps, and workouts.

All permissions can be revoked at any time through your device's Settings app. The App will continue to function without them, except for the reminder feature.

Weight Tracker provides a CSV export/import feature that allows you to back up or transfer your weight data. This operation is performed entirely on your device using the Android Storage Access Framework.

Exported files are saved to a location you choose on your device. No data is uploaded to any server during this process. You are solely responsible for the security of your exported files.

Weight Tracker does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs from Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook, or any other data collection platform.

The App does not make any network requests. It operates entirely offline.

Weight Tracker stores and syncs health-related data (weight measurements, height, body fat, muscle mass, body water, daily steps, and workout sessions) exclusively on your device. This data is classified as sensitive personal information.

If you choose to enable the Google Health Connect integration, the app will read and write data to/from Health Connect locally on your device. The app uses this data solely to display your health history, calculate streaks, and visualize weight and body composition trends in-app.

Since we never collect, upload, or transmit this data, we do not act as a data controller or processor. You retain full ownership and control of your health data at all times.

Weight Tracker does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect data of any kind, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this page periodically.
